(1 COR 9:16) SONSHIP AND SLAVERY Every human being is a slave to sin from birth (Rom 3:23). Sin is barren so it only enslaves people. Paul said in Rom 7:15 that what I want to do I don’t do but what I hate, I do. This is because of the slavery to sin. That is why Jesus christ came to transform as from slavery to sin into sons of God. Being a son and a slave which did you prefer. You become a son by been born again? It is simple believe in Jesus and surrender your life to him. (Jn 1:12) THE REST OF THE LORD (BY MATTHEW BIDINLIB) After a hard day’s work is always a rest for the worker. Consider yourself working for 10 hours in the day and after the hard work, you find no rest. How will you feel? And what will be of your work in the next day? It is the design of man that we always rest. Today I want to speak to you about the rest of the people of God. Hebrews 4:9, There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God (kjv). This rest is specially designed for the people of God to comfort their souls and also to fulfill all scriptures. FROM WHAT SHOULWE REST? One may rest just for fun. But the lord never does or gives anything to his people without any reason. We might have been tired that is why he wants to Give us rest. It will be because, we needed this rest urgently. The journey of man from the sins of Adam and Eve has continually been a journey of strive and tireless adventure due to sin. The bible says John 8:34 “Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin” (kjv). As people who served under the oppression of sin, the love of the father towards us has made possible His grace which takes us into his rest to appear so that as many that, come will access it. Every man needs rest in God. And without this rest from God, the purpose of God creating man will be short-cut on the part of man. Gen 1:26 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth up on the earth” (kjv). We as descendants of Abraham need to rest from this slavery that the Devil and the world has enslaved us. FROM WHERE COMMEST THE REST? This rest can be found in Mt 11:28-29 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls” (kjv). The rest is found I the bosom of Jesus.and he gives to them that come to him. Those that come to him realizing that they are tired of the oppression from the world and from sin. Isaiah said in Isa 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (kjv). As many as come to the lord, they will find res in his bosom. The arms of Jesus are loving arms, the sinner runs into it and he is forgiven and saved. We all with a heart of surrender have to approach with much confidence the thrown room of grace that we may find rest for our souls. Heb 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (kjv). M The mystry is that, even though men rest after or at the end, not only does Jesus gives his people rest at the end but immediately one runs into his arms, he finds rest from that moment. So, he gives rest. But he will not wait till his people are ridden off by sin but immediately they come to him, he takes the case, becomes their lawyer and justifies them if righteousness. What a loving father is He? When the people of Israel were oppressed, the lord saw their distress and their suffering in the land of Egypt and he determined to send them into his rest, which he did with much demonstration of His Power before Pharaoh the king of Egypt. Ex 8:19-20 “Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said. And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me” (kjv). Just us he saw the oppression of the people of Israel, he has seen you’re your toil with the world. If you run into his arms, he is always, ready to give you rest. This time, not in the land of Canaan, but in his loving arms and at the end, he will give us eternal rest in the kingdom of God. This is what every soul desires. If only we can be sensitive to our spirit man and our soul, to find the actual need of our soul, we will see that, we can’t but to just run head off into this rest of God. I pray that you will find that rest in him. MATTHEW BIDINLIB +233543770102, +233501373389 ARTICLE FOLLOWING HARD No one gets God without following hard after him is what comes into my mind whenever I come across the word hard. Well, when I was in the world, I hear people always say “hard training easy battle” but when I came into Christ, he whispered into my ears “my son no more hard training” I wondered what then it should be. Moving along with Christ, I realized that the harder I train myself, the weaker I become. I thought I still needed to try the more but the more I try, the worse it becomes. As I was searching for what new plans to implore in my searching, Jesus came to me and gave me a sentence that was missing in my adventure. He said “Follow hard after me”. Most people in this generation are Christians especially are trying to create their own paths to fulfillment thereby neglecting the way to fulfillment. And many Christians are trying to find God their own way forgetting that if you are determined to go your own way, God will step out and second your motion. The harder you press on after me, the easier it becomes, and as the fishermen ship in great waters, so it is that, the deeper you go with God, the plentiful your harvest will be Ps 107:23-24. To end is a story about a man in the late 50’s who was brought forward to denounce Christ. Standing on trial before a king, the king said “if you don’t deny Christ, I will banish you” and the man answered and said unto him “oh king why did you say that. You can’t banish me from Christ because he sa1i1d I will not leave nor forsake you”. The king got angry and said “if you still refuse, I will confiscate all your properties” and the man answering him said “ My king, you can1t get access to any of my properties because all my treasures are in heaven”. The king angrily said, “I will kill you” and the bold man answered “don’t you know that I was dead with Christ years ago? And now my life is hidden in God with Christ therefore you can’t touch my life”. Follow hard after me MATTHEW BIDINLIB---- JOKE THE RESURRECTION Two evangelists went to preach Christ to a rich man concerning the resurrection. The man did not believe what they told him but he asked for more clarification and they told him more about it but he still did not believe. One day,they gave him food with a sleeping tablet in it and the man went into deep sleep. They bought a new coffin, put this man in and sent him to the cemetery putting him in a grave without covering the coffin. When the man woke up and saw himself in the opened grave, he exclaimed HALLELUJAH IT IS RESURRECTION!!!!!! and I am the first to stand. MATTHEW BIDINLIB----- |
